This design was commissioned shortly after the war by the Pullman Car Company (an independent concern whose vehicles operated with all of the Big Four companies trains) and it is unusual in having no less than twelve different coloured yarns in its make-up.
The floral motif of this design has been carefully arranged so that it can be used in both horizontal and vertical orientations. Thus it is suitable for most types of seating, including the individual armchairs that were the hallmark of Pullman travel.
